Who is Mike Mercier?

Well, when I am not swordfighting I am a helicopter mechanic for the Nebraska National Guard. I started my military career in 1995 right out of High School and started working on AH-64 Apache helicopters. I was stationed in North Carolina, South Korea and Bosnia during my 6 year enlistment. I moved to California with my then fiance Kelly (now my wonderful wife of course.....not like she wasn't wonderful then) and I worked for Aris Helicopters Ltd. as a mechanic and then became their parts/shipping manager. It was in California that I discovered the amazing world of the longsword and trained under Steaphen Fick of the Davenriche European Martial Arts School.

My wife and I moved to Nebraska in September of 2003 so she could go to the University to get her PHD in chemistry and I decided to join the Guard. So here I am now. When I am not practicing or reading new sword manuals I find myself tackling projects around the house or just hangin' with Kelly!
