My name is Michael Mercier and I am live in Durham, North Carolina. Prior to moving here in June of 2008, I started the Nebraska Swordfighters Guild, and operated it for four years before moving here. I instruct all forms of medieval combat.  Dagger, single hand sword, two hand sword, pole axe, all techniques are from a surviving early 15th century Italian manuscript as well as other one of a kind texts. For a sample of what manuscripts I have access to, click the link below. I am also currently working with the civil war cavalry saber.

I have given many talks and demonstrations for various groups and am more than happy to give talks to schools, scout groups, fraternal organizations, etc.

ATTENTION:

I am currently preparing for a deployment to Iraq with the North Carolina National Guard. I will be returning to NC in May of 2010. I'm sorry, for obvious reasons, classes will delayed until then.
